Just around 70 meters from the hotel begins the Philosopher's Walk - a popular hillside path with views of Heidelberg Castle, the Old Town, and the Neckar. The entry point is located directly in the Neuenheim district and can be reached from the BS Boutique Hotel in no time.
The unique location on the southern slope of the Heiligenberg makes the path one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the city.
Ideal for a walk starting directly from the hotel, the Philosopher's Walk offers a combination of nature, panoramic views, and historical significance.

The Old Bridge, officially called Karl Theodor Bridge, is one of the most famous structures in Heidelberg and connects the Old Town with the Neuenheim district - where the BS Boutique Hotel Heidelberg is also located. Built in 1788 from Neckar Valley sandstone, it is considered a landmark of the city and is significant both historically and architecturally.

Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, the bridge begins right at the end of the pedestrian zone and leads across the Neckar. Particularly characteristic are the sculptures at the southern bridgehead - including the well-known bridge statue of Elector Karl Theodor and the statue of the Roman goddess Minerva. Also located here is the famous Heidelberg Bridge Monkey, a modern sculpture with a mirror feature, which is a popular photo spot.

A walk across the Old Bridge not only provides direct access to the Old Town and its sights, but also offers an impressive view of Heidelberg Castle and the surrounding hills. Many guests of our hotel in Heidelberg use the bridge as a daily route into the city or as a starting point for walks along the Neckar.

The proximity to the Old Bridge is a clear location advantage of the BS Boutique Hotel Heidelberg: from here, visitors can easily reach further highlights such as the Philosopher's Walk, the Church of the Holy Spirit, or the Market Square on foot - all without a car or public transportation.
